Pace Bowler Brad Wheal Extends His Stay At Hampshire
Hampshire and Scotland fast bowler Brad Wheal has extended his contract with the Rose and Crown
Hampshire Cricket are delighted to announce that nine players from the Hawks City Academy have been selected for ‘Best of Region’ and county squads.
Azar Mehmood (U14 & U15), Yusuf Khan (U14), Taimoor Shah (U13), Abdul Majid Karimi (U12), Iqrar Mohammad (U12), Kit Pearson (U11), and George Lewis (U11) have been selected for the Best of Region squads in their respective age groups.
Brothers Rocky Singh and Ronny Singh have also been named in the Hampshire U13 and U12 squads respectively.
The pair scored 77 and 61 runs respectively in two matches for Hawks City Academy, with Rocky scoring 51* against Calmore Sports U15s, and Ronny scoring 45* against the same opposition.
Abdul Majid Karimi also reached a half century when he retired on 50 off 45 balls against Hampshire Girls U15s.
Iqrar Mohammad and Azar Mehmood were two of the star bowlers for the Hawks City Academy, as they both took five wickets throughout the competition.
The Hawks City Academy next play an ACE Programme team on Wednesday 14th September at The Ageas Bowl.
