The fixtures for next year’s ICC World T20 in India have been announced, with England drawn against holders Sri Lanka, West Indies and South Africa in the group stages.
The four teams will be joined in group 1 by the winner of group B (Zimbabwe, Scotland, Hong Kong and Afghanistan) who will play each other in the ‘first round’ of the competition.
The competition will take place at eight venues from 8 March to 3 April, with Mumbai and New Delhi staging the semi-finals and Kolkata the final.
Eoin Morgan’s team will take on 2012 winners West Indies in Mumbai on 16 March, followed by matches against South Africa (18 March in Mumbai), the Group B winners (23 March in New Delhi) and Sri Lanka (26 March in New Delhi).
Group 2 consists of host team India, Pakistan, South Africa and Australia and the winner of group A (Bangladesh, Holland, Ireland, Oman).
The Super 10 stage of the inaugural event will be played alongside the women’s World T20, from 15-28 March.
England Women have been draw in Group B alongside Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and the West Indies.
Tickets to England’s NatWest International T20 against Sri Lanka on Tuesday 5th July at the The Ageas Bowl are currently on general sale.
