Root's stylish century helped England to a Cricket World Cup victory at The Ageas Bowl back in 2019
England visit The Ageas Bowl twice in 2023 - with England Women facing Australia in an Ashes ODI in July and England Men facing New Zealand in an ODI of their own in September - and tickets for both fixtures went on sale recently.
To mark the on-sale, we're looking back at impressive individual performances in international fixtures at The Ageas Bowl.
Joe Root took two West Indian wickets in the first innings as England dismissed their opponents for just 212.
An injury to Jason Roy forced Root to open the batting at The Ageas Bowl, but this didn't seem to phase the Yorkshireman.
Elegant strokes personified his innings, reaching three figures from just 94 balls, including 11 boundaries.
England raced to victory by eight wickets in the 34th over.
