Hampshire Captain James Vince has started positively in the Pakistan Super League playing for the Quetta Gladiators.
In just his second match of the tournament, he reached 49* as Quetta defeated Lahore by seven wickets with three balls to spare - passing 23,000 career runs in the process.
His innings came off 38 balls and featured five fours as he and fellow England teammate Jason Roy put on 96 for the second wicket as the Gladiators chased down a mammoth total of 205.
Vince also starred in the field as he took a ‘worldy’ of a catch on the boundary rope, catching the ball above his head and just managing to keep his balance to stay inside the playing field.
Vince and Quetta’s next match is their return fixture against Islamabad United on Saturday 12th February, who they lost out to earlier on in the competition.
This time around, there might be a familiar face on the Islamabad team, as Hampshire’s Liam Dawson could make his debut as he replaced Ireland’s Paul Stirling who left the squad for international duty.
