Hampshire Hawks get their Global Super League campaign in Guyana underway against Rangpur Riders.
The Bangladesh Premier League side reached the knockout stages of the competition, and will be coached by Derbyshire’s Mickey Arthur.
The Hawks, who are the most successful side in English T20 cricket, will aim to put a disappointing Vitality Blast season behind them as they hope to lift the inaugural GSL title, along with their fair share of a $1m prize pot.
Hampshire Hawks Squad
Hampshire Hawks have taken a 14-player squad to the Global Super League.
Danny Briggs and Shan Masood bolster an otherwise fully Hampshire-contracted squad, captained by the club’s leading T20 wicket taker, Chris Wood.

Captain: Nurul Hasan
Rangpur Riders topped the table in the most recent Bangladesh Premier League, but were knocked out in the second qualifier by eventual winners Fortune Barishal.
Wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan, who has played 46 IT20s for Bangladesh, will captain their side, with Mickey Arthur as head coach.
With him, Arthur has brought Derbyshire’s Zak Chappell and Wayne Madsen as their overseas players, along with West Indian pace bowler Matthew Forde, Pakistan batter Khushdil Shah, and the USA’s Harmeet Singh and Steven Taylor.
Off spin bowler Mahedi Hasan will be one to watch – he has taken 38 wickets with an economy rate of under seven in IT20s – whilst Soumya Sarkar, who has been capped over 150 times in internationals, provides experience and power with the bat.
