Hampshire head to Canterbury next week to take on Kent in the Vitality County Championship.

James Vince’s side are riding high after a dominant innings win over Lancashire, placing them third in Division One, just 13 points behind second-placed Somerset.

In contrast, Kent sit at the bottom of the table, with only one win from 11 matches. The teams previously met at Utilita Bowl, where Hampshire claimed a convincing six-wicket victory.

Hampshire have named a 13-player squad for the match against Kent.

Fletcha Middleton impressed with his second Championship century against Lancashire. Liam Dawson further solidified his status as one of the country’s top all-rounders, scoring a brilliant century and taking ten wickets in the match.

Ali Orr returns to the squad after featuing for the 2nd XI against Glamorgan.

Captain: Daniel Bell-Drummond

Daniel Bell-Drummond has been the standout performer for Kent, amassing an impressive 860 runs this season. Ben Compton and Joe Denly add stability at the top order, while rising star Tawanda Muyeye is fresh off a remarkable double-hundred against Worcestershire.

With the ball, former England international Matt Parkinson leads the attack, supported by all-rounder Joey Evison and Nathan Gilchrist, who have contributed valuable wickets.
