Hampshire players selected in England Women Pathway squads
England Women have announced the Performance Programme intake U19 Training squad for the 2025/26 winter, with a total of five Hampshire players included.
Hampshire Squad:
Hampshire make two changes to the 13-man squad that featured in Sunday’s convincing seven-wicket victory over Gloucestershire at the The Ageas Bowl.
Rilee Rossouw returns having previously been unavailable due to a finger injury, whilst paceman Fidel Edwards is also available after spending a spell on the side-lines with a hamstring injury.
The Opposition:
Somerset enjoyed a positive 2016 Royal London One-Day Cup campaign, topping the South Group with six wins from their eight contests.
Jim Allenby's side then earned a place in the competition’s semi-finals stage after overcoming Worcestershire, before eventually falling to a narrow defeat to eventual 2016 champions, Warwickshire.
The hosts have won all four of their 50-over matches so far this season, and currently sit top of the South Group.
Recent Form:
Somerset claimed victory by just five runs when these sides last met in August last year, despite half-centuries from Jimmy Adams and Will Smith seeing Hampshire to 245 in their chasing effort.
