A 14-player Hampshire squad has been selected for the trip to Edgbaston to take on Warwickshire in the Vitality County Championship

Hampshire are back in Vitality County Championship action starting on Sunday, taking on Warwickshire at Edgbaston.

The Rose & Crown's last red-ball match was in late May, beating the current champions Surrey inside three days, which sees them occupy fourth position in Division One.

Warwickshire have had a difficult start, with five draws and two losses from their opening seven matches leaving them in seventh place.

When the two sides met earlier this season, during the third round of fixtures, the match ended in a draw at Utilita Bowl.


Hampshire Squad

Hampshire have named a 14-player squad for the match against Warwickshire.

In the last red-ball match, Ben Brown, Nick Gubbins and Ben Brown all recorded centuries, with the latter making his maiden century for the club.

With the ball, Kyle Abbott and Felix Organ both took five-wicket hauls.

Tom Prest is included as he continues his recovery from a shoulder injury.

Currently in seventh spot in Division One, Warwickshire are yet to win with five draws and two losses from their seven matches so far. In their last match before the break for the Vitality Blast, they had to settle for a draw against Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford.

Despite this, their batters have enjoyed fruitful campaigns so far. Four batters have over 450 runs already, while five have recorded centuries. Skipper Alex Davies leads the way with 672 runs, which is the third most in Division One, closely followed by Ed Barnard (563) and Rob Yates (530). Olly Hannon-Dalby once again leads their bowling attack with 18 wickets so far, however only one other bowler has reaced souble figures for the Bears so far.
