Chris Wood (4-24) - Kent Spitfires v Hampshire, NatWest T20 Blast, 4th July 2014
Hampshire - on this day in 2014 - travelled to face Kent Spitfires in the NatWest T20 Blast, coming off a defeat in their previous South Group match against Surrey.
The hosts won the toss and elected to field first. They were no doubt pleased with their decision when James Vince (4) was dismissed in the first over, however the majority of Hampshire's batsmen got in - Smith (37) and Ervine (47) particularly - and the visitors ended up posting 173/9 from their alloted overs.
In reply - despite losing Daniel Bell-Drummond (1) in the second over, most of Kent's top-order got starts but regular wickets and a lower-order collapse saw the hosts stumble to 126 all-out, Chris Wood (4-24) the star man with the ball.
