Pre-Season Friendly | Hampshire Men v Gloucestershire

Another two-day red ball friendly followed for Hampshire Men, with Ben Brown and Liam Dawson coming into the side.

Play was truncated both days due to poor light and rain, with each side batting the best part of two sessions.

Joe Weatherley continued his good form as he made 53, with Ben Mayes the next best with 38 as Hampshire posted 195-6 at the end of Day One.

Day Two started in similar fashion to the Middlesex match, with Kyle Abbott striking early - he cleaned up Joe Phillips with a peach of a ball that just clipped the off stump which the Gloucestershire batter shouldered arms to and found himself walking back to the dressing room after the first delivery.

Former Academy batter Kamran Dhariwal featured for the visited but edged Sonny Baker into the hands of Toby Albert, with Baker later removing Miles Hammond with a short ball.

Scott Currie nicked off Ollie Price with a ball that nipped away off the seam, whilst Tom Prest claimed two wickets with his off spin.
