Schools Takeover Returns To Utilita Bowl
Schools Takeover will take place on 17th June when Hampshire Hawks take on Surrey in a men’s and women’s double header
With the 2022 season now firmly in the rear-view mirror, we're taking a look back at some of the performances that caught the eye throughout Southern Vipers' Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy campaign.
Coming in at the score on 100-5, Chloe Hill, along with Emily Windsor, had to score the bulk of the remaining 104 runs to secure victory against Thunder at The Ageas Bowl.
Hill soon opened up her boundary count making the most of a free hit from Shachi Pai, as the danced down the wicket and pulled the seamer through midwicket.
A couple of overs later, the keeper-batter brought up her second boundary, although not convincingly as an outside edge off Phoebe Graham made its way down to the deep third boundary.
Facing up to West Indies all rounder Deandra Dottin, Hill capitalised on the short ball once again, by pulling the pacer through midwicket for another four, before doing the same in her very next over.
Hill then unleashed another pull shot, this time off spinner Emma Lamb, to take the score to 161.
The Vipers’ 200 was brought up with a sweep by Hill, and the next ball, victory was sealed with a cute shot from Tara Norris.
