Match Preview: Hampshire Hawks v The Blaze & Middlesex, Vitality Blast Double Header
Hawks Men can guarantee a spot in the top two of the South Group, whilst Hawks Women require just one victory to reach Finals Day
It was a frustrating third day in Hampshire’s LV= County Championship game against Yorkshire at the The Ageas Bowl, with only seven overs and four balls possible in the day's play due to poor weather.
Yorkshire added just 15 runs to their overnight total before the umpires withdrew the players from the field, with tight bowling from Fidel Edwards and Ryan McLaren restricting batsmen in their opening spells.
However with the light deteriorating the players left the field and play was abandoned for the day shortly after 2:30pm.
Hampshire will be hoping to take the remaining Yorkshire wickets early in the morning on day four in order to claim maximum bonus points from the game, and set up a grandstand finish heading into the last round of Championship games next week.
