An exceptional century from Sam Northeast helped to inflict a heavy 244-run County Championship defeat on Nottinghamshire, as Hampshire claimed victory in their first first-class fixture on the Isle of Wight in 57 years.
Northeast's brilliant 186-ball innings was part of a superb 257-run partnership alongside Indian star Ajinkya Rahane who also contributed three figures on his Hampshire debut.
