Bargate Announces New Partnership With Utilita Bowl And Hampshire Cricket
The partnership will run for over two years, strengthening Bargate’s presence within one of Hampshire’s most recognisable sporting destinations.
Hampshire’s NatWest T20 Blast overseas signings Shahid Afridi and Darren Sammy signalled their arrival at the club with a trip to Emsworth Cricket Club.
Pakistan cricketing legend Shahid Afridi and 2016 ICC World T20 winning captain Darren Sammy paid a visit to a Hampshire schools kwik cricket tournament to share their expertise to a number of budding young cricketers.

Big hitting all-rounder Afridi quickly became a fans’ favourite during his last spell at Hampshire in 2011 and he arrives at the The Ageas Bowl for the whole of the 2016 NatWest T20 Blast competition.
England is like a second home for me, I really enjoyed my previous spell here and I can’t wait to get started again with Hampshire. I’ve been training hard and been trying to get used to the English conditions since I’ve arrived to make sure I’m ready to go on Friday.
Shahid Afridi
Sammy is hugely experienced in the shorter format having played in all of the best T20 competitions across the world and he will be available for Hants until his Caribbean Premier League (CPL) commitments at the start of July.
It’ll be really fun and entertaining at the The Ageas Bowl this season – I know a few of the guys already and I’m looking to passing on my experience to the younger players in the team. Hampshire have a great record in getting to T20 Finals Day, but hopefully I can help take the team one further this year.

The first chance for the Hampshire fans to catch Afridi and Sammy in action at the The Ageas Bowl is on Thursday 2 June when Sean Ervine’s side host the Kent Spitfires (7:00pm start).
