Southern Brave Announce Retained Players On Deadline Day
Southern Brave's men's and women's sides have retained a combined 18 players for the 2024 season
James Vince, Danni Wyatt, Chris Jordan and Lauren Bell will all be back in action at Utilita Bowl in The Hundred next season with Southern Brave confirming the retention of 18 players on Deadline Day.
Exciting bowling trio Rehan Ahmed, Tymal Mills and Craig Overton are among the names who’ll be back in action for Brave, as well as Chloe Tryon, Maia Bouchier and Freya Kemp.
Across both the Southern Brave men’s and women’s teams, 18 players have been retained in total, meaning nine spots in total remain to be filled at The Hundred Draft powered by Sage.
It’s brilliant to be back captaining the Brave this year. I love playing in front of our home fans on the south coast and we can’t wait for the competition to start. We’ll be looking to go as far as we can and I think we have retained a strong group this year to help us with that.

The Hundred Draft, powered by Sage, will take place at The Shard on Wednesday 20 March, live-streamed from 5.30pm on thehundred.com, YouTube and TikTok. Each team will take it in turns to select domestic and overseas players to complete their squads.
Southern Brave’s season in the fourth year of The Hundred gets underway at Utilita Bowlon Wednesday 24 July, one of 68 games that promise world class men’s and women’s sporting action, live music, and a host of family-friendly entertainment.
Winning the competition last year was a fantastic experience and to have retained most of that group to compete this year sets us up really nicely. I absolutely love playing for Southern Brave, and I love playing in The Hundred, and I can’t wait to get back to playing with the group at Utilita Bowl.

A record 580,000 fans were in attendance across The Hundred last season, including over 300,000 in the women’s competition. The Hundred’s blend of high-quality sport and entertainment saw 41% of all tickets sold to families, 23% to juniors and 30% to women.
Hampshire Cricket Members will be given a priority window from 6-13 March to purchase tickets to this summer's Hundred matches, along with a host of other benefits, including free entry to all Southern Vipers matches at Utilita Bowl.

From 13-27 March there will be an exclusive window open to buy tickets for fans who have previously attended The Hundred. There will be a priority window open from 9-23 April for all fans who sign up in advance at thehundred.com.
The general sale period begins from 25 April.
Tickets are once again great value, with prices set at £5 for juniors aged 3-15 (free for under 3s) and adults starting from £11. Season tickets went on sale alongside the launch of The Hundred fixtures, and they have sold out across all eight venues.
All games will again be live on Sky Sports and BBC broadcast and digital channels throughout the competition.
