Match Preview: Hampshire Hawks v Victoria, GSL 2024
Hampshire Hawks take on Victoria in their final group match of the Global Super League
Hampshire looked to spoil Somerset’s home crowd early in the 2021 Vitality Blast season.
The Hawks narrowly lost an exciting match, as New Zealander Grandhomme proved his class against finalists Somerset.
He started the night as he meant to go on, in electrifying fashion, by blasting 18 runs from his first four balls.
The Kiwi then blasted a huge six into the pavilion as he looked to up the pace of the Hawks innings.
His class was flowing and this would only continue, as De Grandhomme registered a half-century, finishing on 66 runs from 34 balls including 10 fours and 2 sixes.
The medium pacer also contributed 2/41 from his allotted four overs, showing his all-round class.
During his second over, Grandhomme dissmissed James Hildreth and fellow Black Cap Devon Conway.
