Match Preview: Hampshire Hawks v The Blaze & Middlesex, Vitality Blast Double Header
Hawks Men can guarantee a spot in the top two of the South Group, whilst Hawks Women require just one victory to reach Finals Day
The Hampshire skipper won the toss in their first of a double header day and chose to bat, knowing that two wins would give the Hawks a good chance of making Finals Day.
After a slow start, Vince decided to attack in the third over of the innings. Bowled by Dan Lawrence, the over started with consecutive boundaries for the opening bat.
In the fifth over, the right-handed batter pulled a short ball from Sam Cook for a maximum as Hampshire had exploded from 4/0 from two overs, to 45/0 from five.

Vince then went about his business nicely, rotating the strike well with fellow opener D’Arcy Short and taking advantage of loose deliveries from the Essex attack.
The captain then brought up his half-century from just 38 balls in the twelfth over, knocking Nijjar into the on side for a comfortable single.
Vince was dismissed for 63 but had laid the groundwork for some late innings fireworks from Colin de Grandhomme and Lewis McManus as the Hawks set Essex 172 runs to win.
