T20 Look Back: James Vince v Sussex

In the second match of a Vitality Blast double header at The Ageas Bowl, the ‘el clasicoast’ was one to remember for the Hawks skipper and his side.

After Sussex had set a total of 183, Vince set the tone for the innings by cutting the first ball for four.

The right hander put together a 120-run partnership with fellow opener D’Arcy Short, as the two punished the Sussex bowling attack with boundaries all around the ground.

Overall, Vince registered an impressive fourteen fours and three sixes, including hitting Delray Rawlins for back-to-back maximums in the tenth over.

Vince brought up his century off of just 56 balls, going on to make 102 as he led his Hawks side to a crucial win over their south coast rivals.
