Match Preview: Hampshire Hawks v The Blaze & Middlesex, Vitality Blast Double Header
Hawks Men can guarantee a spot in the top two of the South Group, whilst Hawks Women require just one victory to reach Finals Day
Hampshire’s Brad Taylor and Mason Crane impressed with the ball for the England Under 19s, but they couldn’t prevent a 52-run defeat to Sri Lanka Under 19s at Colombo.
Despite losing the toss and being put into the field, England produced a dominant performance with the ball, with skipper Taylor leading from the front.
The 18-year old picked up the wickets of opener Salindu Ushan (17) and three of the Sri Lankan middle order to finish with impressive figures of 4-34 - his career-best for the England Under 19s.
Taylor’s Hants team-mate Mason Crane (2-38) also impressed, taking the wickets of skipper Charith Asalanka (48) and wicketkeeper-batsman Vishad Randika (18) as Sri Lanka were dismissed for 191.

However, England lost wickets in regular intervals in their reply, with Durham batsman Jack Burnham top-scoring with 32.
Taylor hit 18 during an innings which saw only four England players reached double figures as they finished 139 all-out, to hand the victory to Sri Lanka.
England will be hoping to bounce back in the Tri-Series when they face India on Tuesday 15 December.
