Hampshire announce a 13-player strong Vipers Academy for 2024-25, featuring eight newcomers, with 28 players involved in the Emerging Player Programme

Hampshire Cricket announce a 13-player strong Vipers Academy for 2024-25.

Fast bowler Caitlin Chissell, all-rounder Talitha Stanley, wicket keepers Rachel King and Pippa Sproul, and spinner Eve O’Neill remain on the Academy whilst eight players – Mollie Adams, Megan Bishop, Eliza Bristowe, Molly Bulteel, Lottie Curling, Aimee Diab, Shristi Patil, and Phebe Salter – join for the first time.

The Academy features players from across Hampshire, Sussex, Dorset, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire – the six counties that made up the Southern Vipers, the most successful women’s regional team that was based at Utilita Bowl.

It is with real excitement that we announce this 2024 cohort of Academy players, with a number of girls progressing to our senior ranks it is a real pleasure to welcome eight new girls transitioning from our EPP programme into our academy.

All our coaching and support staff are looking forward to spending more time with this group and watching them develop and grow with the additional support the academy programme offers.

Ian Cox, Regional Talent Manager

A total of 14 new players join the Emerging Player Programme (EPP) for 2024-25 with a total of 28 players involved in the programme.

As a tier two county, Sussex run their own EPP, but the programme remains part of the Vipers Tier 1 Talent Pathway Catchment Area.

The standard of cricket on show throughout our observation process this year has been unprecedentedly high, with many talented cricketers from across the region impressing during winter visits, summer match play and observation days.

We are delighted to welcome 14 new young cricketers into our Emerging Players Programme for 2024/25 to join 14 players who will be retained for a second or third year on the programme. We are all thoroughly looking forward to working with this exciting new cohort of players in the months to come.
