Vipers Captain Signs For Adelaide Strikers

Southern Vipers captain Georgia Adams has been signed by Adelaide Strikers for the 2023-24 Women’s Big Bash League.

Adams becomes the fourth Viper of the season to be snapped up for this winter’s WBBL, joining Lauren Bell, Maia Bouchier, and Danni Wyatt on the plane to Australia.

The news comes after Adams was picked up by New South Wales for the Women’s National Cricket League, Australia’s equivalent of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, back in June.

The Vipers’ skipper is currently leading the PCA’s MVP rankings by a whopping 121 points over South East Stars’ Bryony Smith, and the all-rounder is the Vipers’ leading run scorer of the season, along with 28 Vipers wickets to her name in 2023.

Watch Georgia and the rest of the Southern Vipers in action on Sunday 24th September where they take on either The Blaze or South East Stars in the final of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.
