Vitality Blast Run In: The Permutations

Take a look at how Hampshire Hawks can reach the knockout stages of their respective competitions

Vitality Blast women’s competition

The top four teams will qualify for the Vitality Blast Women’s Finals Day, held at the Kia Oval on Friday 17 July.

There will be two semi-finals at 11am and 2:30pm, with the final at 6:45pm.

Hawks Women currently sit in first place, with six wins (four of which have come with a bonus point) from nine games, with just three matches left to play.

With the team on 32 points, they require just one victory to qualify for their first-ever Vitality Blast Women’s Finals Day.

Somerset, who are in fifth place, can reach a maximum of 34 points from their remaining matches, whilst Essex in sixth can reach 32 points, so Hawks Women require a minimum of two points to secure a place in the top four.

Somerset and Essex play each other at 6pm on Tuesday 7 July so only one of them can reach their maximum points.

One win from their remaining three games will ensure they qualify.

Their next match comes against The Blaze, who are currently in fourth place with their remaining two matches after that against Warwickshire Bears in seventh and Surrey in third.

If Hawks Men defeat Middlesex on Wednesday 8 July, they will guarantee a place in the quarter-finals.

However, Hawks Men will have to win at least two of their remaining three matches against Middlesex, Sussex Sharks, and Essex to guarantee top spot and a home quarter-final at Utilita Bowl on Wednesday 15 July.

If Hawks Men lose to Middlesex on Wednesday 8 July, they will need to beat either Sussex Sharks or Essex for a place in the quarter-finals.
