The ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy arrived in Hampshire this week as the ICC and the Hampshire Bowl hosted four exciting events showcasing the silverware in different locations across the county.
The trophy, which will be lifted by the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup winners at Lord’s on 14 July, made its way to Hampshire as part of four key events across the county on Sunday 24th and Monday 25th February.
These events saw the trophy feature at a street cricket showcase at the Southampton Guildhall and a heritage event at the Bat & Ball Inn, Hambledon on Sunday 24th February, as well as a school’s cricket festival at Places Leisure, Eastleigh on Monday 25th February.
The Hampshire Bowl, one of eight venues to be used throughout this summer’s competition, welcomed Members and supporters to the The Ageas Bowl Atrium on Monday 25th February, as the trophy visited the location at which five World Cup fixtures will be played this June.
