Fast Bowler Manny Lumsden Named In England U19 Test squad

Hampshire pace bowler Manny Lumsden will take part in the two-match Youth Test series against South Africa U19s

Hampshire fast bowler Manny Lumsden has been named in England Men’s U19s Test squad to play South Africa U19s.

Lumsden, 17, has been part of the white-ball series against South Africa, taking three wickets and scoring 68 runs as England won the three-match Youth ODI series 2-1.

Earlier this year, Lumsden was the leading wicket-taker at the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup where his 16 wickets helped England reach the final.

He made his Hampshire debut against Glamorgan in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup in 2025 and claimed three wickets against the then-champions.

His T20 debut came for Hampshire Hawks against Somerset at Taunton. He has gone on to claim five wickets in as many Vitality Blast matches this season, holding his nerve to close out a nail-biting game against Surrey at the Kia Oval in his last outing.

The Youth Test series begins at the County Ground in Beckenham on Friday. The second Youth Test will be played at Hove from Friday 17 July.
