Hawks Men can guarantee a spot in the top two of the South Group, whilst Hawks Women require just one victory to reach Finals Day
Hampshire players Jimmy Adams and Gareth Berg, and staff from the The Ageas Bowl visited a local homeless shelter last Thursday (15 December) to spread the festive joy this Christmas.
Organised by the club’s official charity, Hampshire Cricket in the Community, the players took time out of their busy winter schedule to visit Two Saints Homeless Shelter in Southampton City Centre
Packed with a selection of Christmas presents, which were generously donated by staff at Hampshire Cricket and Hilton Southampton – The Ageas Bowl, the Hampshire duo handed out gifts, signed autographs and spoke to those in attendance.
It's been fantastic to be able to organise another festive visit this year and once again the support and generosity shown by staff at the The Ageas Bowl has allowed us to provide so many gifts to those in need this Christmas. To see our visit spread so much joy to those less fortunate than ourselves is certainly great to see and having the support of the Hampshire Cricket players has been excellent and a real treat for so many of the people we've met.
Emily Munro, Hampshire Cricket in the Community
Two Saints are a charity providing a range of services and support networks to help people who are homeless across the UK turn their lives around for the better whilst also working to prevent homelessness by supporting people who already live in their own home, to maintain their independence.
Hampshire Cricket in the Community was created in 2012 and has quickly established itself as a provider of high quality sports and education programmes for cricket clubs, schools and community groups. Their staff work with the cricketing community in Hampshire and bordering counties to raise funds and deliver projects which really make a difference.
