Hampshire Hawks have confirmed a home quarter-final in the men’s Vitality Blast, having already qualified for the knockout stages for a 14th time.
James Vince’s side defeated local rivals Sussex Sharks off the penultimate ball in Hove, with the powerful Hilton Cartwright and 18-year-old starboy Ben Mayes smashing fifties to get the Hawks over the line and provisionally top of the table.
The Hawks are set to face Essex in this quarter-final fixture at Utilita Bowl on Wednesday 15th July.
All Vitality Blast matches start at 4:30pm (gates open 3pm) on Wednesday.
The early start time avoids a clash with England Men’s FIFA World Cup semi-final against Argentina, which is set to start at 8pm UK time, with the Hawks’ match due to finish around 7:30pm.
England's World Cup fixture against Argentina will be shown in the Arlott Atrium at Utilita Bowl after the cricket fixture ends on Wednesday, meaning attending fans can stay to watch the football.
Please note, rail shuttle will only run until 60 minutes until after close of the cricket fixture, whilst hospitality bars will end complimentary service and change to cash bar 30 minutes after close of the cricket fixture. Bars around the ground will close, other than the Arlott Atrium bar for attendees wanting to stay for the football to be able to purchase drinks from.
