Hampshire To Play In Two Pre-Season Friendlies

Ahead of the start of the 2023 season, Hampshire will contest in a couple of two-day pre-season friendlies later this month. Firstly, they will travel to Hove to take on Sussex (Thursday 23^rd & Friday 24^th March), before they welcome Gloucestershire to The Ageas Bowl (Monday 27^th & Tuesday 28^th March).

The friendlies provide the Hampshire squad with the opportunity to prepare ahead of their opening LV= Insurance County Championship against Nottinghamshire at The Ageas Bowl on Thursday 6^th April.

Sussex, who finished in seventh place in Division Two last season, will take on Durham at Hove in the opening round of County Championship fixtures. Meanwhile, Gloucestershire will also contest in Division Two this season after being relegated in 2022, and they travel to Cardiff to take on Glamorgan to kickstart their red-ball campaign.

Fans will be able to attend The Ageas Bowl for Hampshire’s friendly against Gloucestershire for free, with no tickets required to gain entry.
