Chris Gayle got West Indies off to a flier, hitting 40 from just 29 balls, including six maximums.
Shai Hope top scored for the visitors with 72 as the West Indies posted a competitive 288/6 from their 50 overs.
The target was no challenge for England in the end, with Jason Roy (96) and Johnny Bairstow (141*) taking the tourists bowling to all parts of The Ageas Bowl. Joe Root hit the winning runs with 12 overs to spare for the hosts.
