Hampshire Cricket & Utilita Bowl are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead our sales efforts across hospitality and matchday advertising
We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic individual to help lead our sales efforts across hospitality and matchday advertising at Utilita Bowl.
A people person, you will be confident interacting with a range of clients, both over the phone and in person. Comfortable in networking environments, you will represent us at local conferences and events showcasing our hospitality and advertising opportunities.
And on matchdays, you will be proactive in assisting our events team to deliver a best in class guest experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Proactively present and sell our hospitality and advertising opportunities to new and existing clients.
Build our client base with targeted, informed, business development initiatives.
Lead face to face meetings with prospective clients and conduct showcase tours of the venue.
Attend commercial and networking events to represent Utilita Bowl, increasing awareness and attracting new business
Provide exceptional account management to our client base, conducted in a timely, professional manner.
Manage the day-to-day relationship with our hospitality sales partner, Seat Unique.
Manage inventory, maintain and update product details and assist with client enquiries.
Lead communication and create collaboration between key departments – including marketing, ticketing and catering operations.
Provide clear, accurate updates on sales performance and trends.
On event days, meet and greet guests and enhance experience wherever possible.
YOUR SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
Essential Skills/Experience:
Track record of success within a sales or similar environment
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive attitude and application to task
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to overcome challenges independently
Desirable Skills:
Experience in the sports industry, either rights holder or agency
Experience selling hospitality or a similar high-end product
Knowledge using CRM and sales intelligence tools
Familiar with Secutix and Seat Unique platforms
Interest and knowledge of sports, particularly cricket
Educated to at least degree level, or equivalent experience

WORKING HOURS & LOCATION
This role is based at Utilita Bowl, Botley Road, West End, Southampton, SO30 3XH. Standard hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, with occasional requirements to work on matchdays or events.
