Three Hampshire Men Earn Contracts With The ECB
Hampshire’s Liam Dawson, Sonny Baker, and Eddie Jack have all been awarded contracts with the ECB
Hampshire Cricket’s brand new initiative for 2015 aimed at offering support for recreational club cricket across the county was again a key focus as Sway Cricket Club received a special visit.
Limited overs captain James Vince, all-rounder Liam Dawson, seamer Tom Barber and wicket-keeper batsman Lewis McManus were all on hand to offer key coaching tips to some of the club’s aspiring young cricketers, as well as signing autographs and posing for selfies as part of Hampshire’s Club of the Month Scheme.
It’s great to be able to have the chance to come and be part of evenings like these that can really make a difference. From what I’ve seen, it seems like a brilliant set-up here and there’s some really good talent that it’s also nice to be able to offer that support to help club’s progress through scheme’s like this one.
James Vince, Hampshire T20 & One-Day Captain
A massive thanks to Hampshire Cricket in the Community and the lads from Hampshire Cricket for making the evening such a success. The turnout from youngsters and adults alike was fantastic, and a great time was had by all. The event has raised the profile and enhanced the reputation of the Club in our local community and having completely sold out of all our food and drink, has helped us to raise valuable funds!
Dave Marshall, Sway CC Development Officer
