Wicket Of The Day: Week Four

We're looking back at some eye-catching wickets taken by Hampshire's stars over the years

16 April 2020

Sunday

Chris Wood was too sharp for Worcestershire's Tom Kohler-Cadmore during Hampshire's T20 Quarter-Final at New Road in 2015.

Saturday

Ex-Hampshire overseas Tino Best teamed up with James Vince at second slip to send Lancashire's Steven Croft back to the pavilion in 2016's County Championship.

Friday

Kyle Abbott produced this gem of a delivery, leaving the umpire no choice but to give Roelof van der Merwe out in a tight Royal London One-Day Cup encounter at Taunton in 2019.

Thursday

Lewis McManus acted sharply to remove Dan Lawrence when Hampshire took on eventual Vitality Blast winners Essex Eagles at Chelmsford last summer.

Wednesday

Michael Carberry took an important catch under pressure, helping to remove Ian Bell in 2012's CB40 Final at Lord's.

Tuesday

Middlesex's James Franklin made the wrong decision when he nailed the ball to George Bailey at point, during 2017's Vitality Blast encounter at the The Ageas Bowl.

Monday

Kyle Abbott's instincts earned him a second chance to dismiss Gareth Roderick when Hampshire played Gloucestershire in the Royal London One-Day Cup at the The Ageas Bowl in 2019.
