Ava Georgina Lee was born on 26th August 2005 and is a right arm off spin bowler and right-handed batter.

She is a product of the Vipers Academy and the Berkshire pathway and made her senior debut for Southern Vipers debut against Sunrisers in a 50-over Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy match at Chelmsford in 2023, where she took 2-43 in ten overs.

She backed up her strong start with the ball in her second game against Thunder, where she picked up 2-33, her best figures to date, as she claimed the wickets of Seren Smale and Dani Collins.

Tidy performances kept coming, including 2-38 against South East Stars against Utilita Bowl, and in the RHFT Final against The Blaze at Northampton, she claimed 0-34 in eight overs, almost dismissing England opener Tammy Beaumont.

In March 2024, Lee was named in England Women’s U19s tour of Sri Lanka, where she played four matches in the tri-series against Australia and hosts Sri Lanka.

She picked up eight wickets, the joint most of anyone in the tournament, at an average of just 7.62 runs per wicket, with a best of 4-19 coming against Sri Lanka in spinning conditions in Hambantota.

Lee featured eight times for Southern Vipers in 2024, making her Charlotte Edwards Cup T20 debut against The Blaze at Utilita Bowl, where she claimed one wicket for nine runs, and scored five not out to almost see the Vipers to victory.

She picked up eight wickets across the season with career-best figures of 4-52 coming at Arundel Castle against The Blaze on her 19th birthday.

She was awarded a contract with Hampshire after the 2024 season.
