Bex Tyson
Rebecca ‘Bex’ Elizabeth Ann Tyson was born on 26th June 2000 and is a slow left arm bowler and left-handed batter.
Breaking through at Hertfordshire, Tyson showed promise straight away., taking 5-23 from 9.1 overs against Buckinghamshire Women in the Royal London Women's One Day Cup aged 16, before making 67* from 47 in the NatWest Women’s Twenty20 Cup in 2017, just a week before her 17th birthday.
She made her Vipers debut against Northern Diamonds in September 2024 having been plucked from Sunrisers 2nd XI after an impressive season in the women’s development competition.
Tyson claimed 13 wickets with her spin for the Sunrisers, the second most after her teammate Hannah Davis, with a best of 4-18 against South East Stars.
Despite coming in a losing cause, Tyson made an impressive start to her Vipers career with figures of 3-49 from 10 overs on debut. She finished the season with four wickets at 32.50 in her three RHFT appearances.
After The Hundred draft in March 2025, Tyson was signed for the first time in the competition by London Spirit.
