Two weeks ago, the Hampshire Cricket Board held its annual community cricket festival, 'Hawks Fest,' a celebration of the county's thriving 'Urban' cricket programmes. The event, which took place in Southampton, brought together 120 young people aged 7-19 from across Southampton, Portsmouth, and Basingstoke.
A series of recent events provided women with an exciting opportunity to try hard ball cricket in a supportive and enjoyable environment. These sessions were designed to help women transition from softball cricket to hard ball, with equipment generously provided by Serious Cricket through Hampshire Cricket Board (HCB).
