Hampshire Wellbeing Centre Spring Update
A spring update from the Hampshire Wellbeing Centre team.
From supporting your marathon training to introducing new experitise within our team, our focus reamins the same - helping you feel and perform at your best.
With marathon season in full swing, many runners are increasing their training volume and intensity. Incorporating sports massage into your routine can play a valuable role in both your physical preparation and mental wellbeing.
Physically, sports massage can help to reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and support recovery between training sessions, helping you stay consistent and reduce the risk of injury. Psychologically, it provides an opportunity to feel refreshed, prepared and discuss preparations ready for race day that will boost your confidence and calm your mind. Feeling prepared and physically ready can have a powerful impact on your mindset and overall performance.

Exclusive Offer:
Enjoy £10 off a 60 minute pre- or post-race Sports Massage when you show proof of marathon entry at your appointment. Offer valid until end of June 2026. T&C’s Apply.
We’re committed to staying at the forefront of evidence-based treatment, which is why we recently hosted a specialist Shockwave Therapy training course at the clinic, delivered by Enovis.
This hands-on training ensured our team remains up to date with the latest developments in techniques designed to accelerate recovery and reduce pain, particularly for persistent tendon conditions. By continually investing in our team’s expertise, we’re able to offer you the most effective and up-to-date treatment options available.

Foot and lower limb discomfort can often arise when there’s a sudden increase in activity levels, such as starting a new training plan or returning to exercise. While custom orthotics are sometimes necessary, they’re not always the first or only solution.
Temporary orthotics can be an effective, flexible option with the aim being to offload stress, improve alignment, and settle down aggravated tissues as they adapt to increased demands. They can be particularly useful during periods of training when you have targets to achieve and little downtime, offering targeted support without the need for a long-term intervention. Our podiatry team will always assess your individual needs to determine the most appropriate approach for you.

We’re delighted to welcome Chris Finn to the team, bringing a unique blend of applied psychology expertise and practical coaching experience.
Chris specialises in helping you understand how your mind works, so you can make it work more effectively for you. His approach focuses on both wellbeing and performance, based on the belief that when you feel at your best, you’re able to perform at your best.
If you’re feeling stuck or held back in any area of life, Chris can help you gain clarity and move forward. Whether it’s challenges in work, relationships, or sport, your mindset plays a central role. Through a combination of psychology and performance coaching, Chris works with you to unlock greater levels of confidence, resilience, and overall functioning.
