Hampshire pace bowler Manny Lumsden will be part of England U19s’ tour of Pakistan, which begins in December

Hampshire fast bowler Manny Lumsden has been named in England U19s’ squad for their tour of Pakistan.

The tour begins with a training camp from 19-30 November in Colombo, Sri Lanka, before a three-match Youth ODI series and one Youth Test against Pakistan, all in Rawalpindi, where England Men are currently engaged in a tri-series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

Lumsden, 17, made his debut for Hampshire in the 2025 Metro Bank One Day Cup and claimed three wickets in his first match against Glamorgan.

He shone in the 2025-26 ICC Men’s U19s Cricket World Cup, finishing as the competition’s leading wicket-taker with 16, including a best of five for 17 against New Zealand.

In 2026, he earned his first professional contract and made his T20 debut against Somerset at Taunton before picking up a five-for on his County Championship debut against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.

Lumsden, along with Warwickshire bowler Charlie Taylor, will meet up with the squad in Rawalpindi and will be managed on individual programmes for developing fast bowlers.

Neil Killeen will step in as Head Coach for the Young Lions’ winter programme, with the team also set to tour Australia in January, following Mike Yardy’s appointment as Elite National Batting Lead.

He will be supported by a coaching team of Joe Denly, Steve Mullaney, and Kyle Hogg.

I am really looking forward to leading an exciting group of young players and coaches across their winter programme. This is an opportunity for these young players to experience new countries and conditions and for our coaching team to help develop their game in a world-class environment, which will only help in their journey towards international cricket. Sri Lanka is an excellent venue for our training camp, where we can build towards what we know will be a tough contest in Pakistan following our series in the summer.
