Hampshire take on Leicestershire Foxes in the Metro Bank One Day Cup quarter-final at the Uptonsteel County Ground on Friday.

Victory over Middlesex meant Hampshire finished the group stage in third place, confirming their place in the knockout stages for the third year in a row.

Last year's champions, Leicestershire Foxes, are Hampshire's opponents in the quarter-final after they finished second in Group B – just a point off of Glamorgan.

The two sides met in last year's One Day Cup final at Trent Bridge, where the Foxes came out on top to lift their first List A title for since 1985.

The winner of tomorrow's match will meet Somerset in the semi-final at The Cooper Associates County Ground on Sunday 18th August.

Captain: Lewis Hill

Last year's One Day Cup final was held at Trent Bridge between Leicestershire Foxes and Hampshire, with the former coming out on top. It was Leicestershire's first List A title since 1985 and their first piece of any silverware since winning the T20 Blast in 2011, which was also their last appearance in a final. This year, the Foxes have been just as strong, finishing the group stage in second place – just one point of Glamorgan in top. They won six of their eight matches, including all of their last three.

With the bat is where the Foxes have shone the most with three players scoring over 300 runs so far. Overseas stars Peter Handscomb (354) and Ajinkya Rahane (305) – who had a spell at Hampshire in 2019 – have been crucial in the middle of the order, while opener Sol Budinger is second in the overall run scoring charts with 405 runs. The skipper Lewis Hill, Louis Kimber and last year's hero from the final Harry Swindells are other options who have the ability to score runs. Meanwhile, the bowling attack is also full of dangerous players. Former Hampshire Academy graduate Tom Scriven has 14 wickets to his name so far and he is joined by the likes of Liam Trevaskis and Chris Wright.
