Southern Vipers v Western Storm

Charlotte Edwards Cup

Thursday 30th May 2024 (3:00pm start)

Utilita Bowl

Southern Vipers play their first double header of the summer at Utilita Bowl tomorrow afternoon.

They come into the game having played out another thriller when they took on Sunrisers at Arundel Castle on Bank Holiday Monday, as they came out the wrong end losing by just three runs.

Freya Davies picked up her best figures in the Charlotte Edwards Cup, whilst the new-look opening partnership of Charli Knott and Georgia Elwiss put on a strong stand of 73 – the biggest partnership of the match.

Western Storm meanwhile had a washout in their previous match, as only six overs were possible at Beckenham against South East Stars, with the green and black side making 38-3 before the game was abandoned.

In their last completed match, they fell to a 21-run defeat to Central Sparks, and they are currently yet to find a win from their first three matches.
