Kids Go Free For Hampshire’s Season Openers
Kids go free across the Easter weekend (3–6 April) as Hampshire host Essex in the Rothesay County Championship, with the same offer available for Hampshire Women’s season opener on 11 April.
Hampshire Cricket’s brand new initiative aimed at supporting recreational cricket in the county kicked off in style as Portsmouth Cricket Club received a special visit.
Sean Ervine, Brad Wheal and Sean Terry made the trip south of the county to inspire Portsmouth’s junior section as part of Hampshire’s ‘Club of the Month’ Scheme.
The trio signed autographs and gave their top coaching tips to the junior members to support their preparations for the season.
Firstly, it was fantastic to see such a great turnout – their enthusiasm for cricket at such a young age is so refreshing to see. It’s not often we get a chance to come to the Portsmouth area, but their support for us is always brilliant and hopefully that will continue moving forward.
