Global cricketing giants return to Utilita Bowl in 2025
Cricket fans from the across the South will have their first opportunity to catch the Southern Vipers in action at the The Ageas Bowl next week!
Led by England legend Charlotte Edwards, the Vipers will play a squad match between themselves at 10:30am before facing the Western Storm in a friendly at 2:00pm on Wednesday 27th July on The Ageas Bowl’s Nursery Ground (free entry) as they prepare for the start of the Kia Super League season.
This summer will see the The Ageas Bowl based Southern Vipers compete against five other teams (Lancashire Thunder, Loughborough Lightning, Surrey Stars, Western Storm, and Yorkshire Diamonds) for the inaugural season of the Kia Super League.
The round-robin Twenty20 competition will be played from Saturday 30th July to Sunday 14th August. The tournament will feature 15 group matches in 16 days and climax with a finals day on Sunday 21st August.
Led by Head Coach Nick Denning, the Vipers welcome the Surrey Stars to the home of Hampshire Cricket for their opening match on Sunday 31st July.
Tickets for the The Ageas Bowl’s Southern Vipers matches are available for just £5 for adults and £1 for Under 17s and can be purchased online, over the phone on 0844 847 1863, or by visiting the The Ageas Bowl’s Ticketing & Membership Office via normal working hours.
Hampshire Cricket Members are entitled to free admission to all of the Southern Vipers’ home fixtures in 2016.
