In response to the recent CDC sanction for allegedly breaching ECB pitch regulations, a Hampshire Cricket spokesperson said:
We were disappointed to read the Summary Report of the Cricket Disciplinary Committee of 6th September, relating to a pitch mark of ‘Below Average’ for the LV=Insurance County Championship match between Hampshire and Essex on 25-27th July 2023 at The Ageas Bowl.
Under all of the circumstances we have concluded that we should await receipt of the formal, fully reasoned decision before making any further comment on the matter.
