Hampshire To Host Pre-Season Friendly Against Worcestershire

The two-day warmup match will take place at The Ageas Bowl, ahead of the County Championship season

Hampshire Cricket have announced that they will play a two-day pre-season friendly against Worcestershire, starting on Thursday 24th March at The Ageas Bowl.

It is the third confirmed red-ball warmup match for Hampshire, taking place in between the fixtures against Gloucestershire and Loughborough MCCU.

With the 2022 LV= Insurance County Championship commencing on Thursday 7th April, the friendly provides the Hampshire squad with another opportunity to prepare for the new season.

The two sides have not met in the County Championship since 2018 when Hampshire ran out winners by a comfortable 114 runs. Kyle Abbott took a hat-trick on his way to a six-wicket haul to lead Hampshire’s attack on the Worcestershire batting line-up.
