Match Preview: Hampshire Hawks v Victoria, GSL 2024
Hampshire Hawks take on Victoria in their final group match of the Global Super League
Hampshire welcome the Kent Spitfires to the The Ageas Bowl in a key game in the 2017 NatWest T20 Blast on Tuesday, with the hosts looking to gain momentum ahead of an important week in the competition.
Hampshire Squad:
Hampshire have named a 15-man squad for the fixture, with Tom Alsop, Shahid Afridi, Fidel Edwards and Brad Wheal featuring alongside the final XI from last week's rain-affected victory at Gloucestershire.
Michael Carberry is unavailable for selection for this match after sustaining a hamstring injury during last Friday’s contest.
The Opposition:
Kent Spitfires currently sit seventh in the South Group, with seven points from their opening eight matches of the competition. Despite beating the Essex Eagles on the opening day, Sam Northeast’s side have struggled to find momentum, picking up just one win in the following five matches. They did bounce back with victory over Somerset last week, but head into tomorrow’s game on the back of a 25-run defeat to Glamorgan.
