Teams will take part in an exciting T20 Skills Challenge, putting their abilities to the test as players smash sixes, bowl under pressure, and take stunning catches on the main outfield.
The winning team and runner-up from each challenge will enjoy an unforgettable reward, forming the Guard of Honour and/or taking part in a player hat-signing session before the main match action begins.

Throughout the summer term, schools across the county took part in local Dynamos festivals, run by School Games Organisers and Community Coaches, leading to the County Finals at the Utilita Bowl. On Tuesday 24th June, 15 girls’ teams competed, with Weeke Primary School crowned champions. The following day, 18 teams took part in the open event, where Merdon Junior School came out on top. Both days showcased impressive cricket, enthusiasm, and great sportsmanship.
It was a special evening at Utilita Bowl on Monday 17th June, as we welcomed some of Hampshire’s finest amateur cricketers onto the pitch during the interval of the T20 Blast Surrey Double Header.
These individuals were celebrated as part of the #HantsTopGun campaign – a county-wide initiative that recognises outstanding weekly performances in club cricket. Running from May to August, the campaign highlights the male and female players with the highest batting scores and best bowling figures from the ECB Hampshire Honours Boards.

This month’s selection is a testament to the outstanding dedication of our volunteers across the county.
The Level 4 Sports Coach Apprenticeship will assist with coaching and community engagement across all HCB’s programmes and projects. The role is aimed at a coach who would like to broaden their knowledge across a variety of delivery areas but will specialise in School Sport Coaching. The apprenticeship will focus on the acceleration of sustainable mastery of children’s psychomotor skills and wider physical education standards.
