About Us

Hampshire Cricket Board (HCB) is the official governing body for recreational cricket in Hampshire. One of 39 County Cricket Boards in the country, HCB plays a vital role in delivering and developing grassroots cricket throughout the region.

We work with a range of partners, including Hampshire Cricket Ltd, Hampshire Cricket Foundation, Southern Premier Cricket League and Hampshire Cricket League to grow and improve the game to provide a cricketing future for all.

Our diverse range of activities are designed to provide playing and volunteering opportunities for men, women, boys, girls and people with disabilities.

HCB Vision Statement

Our mission is to inspire, empower and connect communities through cricket. We aim to achieve this by working towards five strategic priorities:

  • Strengthen clubs and leagues - Thriving, inclusive and sustainable clubs and leagues
  • Value volunteers - Organisations have a strong volunteer workfoce providing the best possible playing experience
  • Accelerate growth in women's and girls' cricket - Every junior club with a sustainable women's and girls' section
  • Make cricket accessible - Individuals of all abilities and backgrounds, have equal opportunities to participate, enjoy, and excel
  • Build partnerships - New partnerships which increase our reach, revenue and capacity

Each year HCB publish an Impact Report to highlight the progress made across the game in Hampshire to deliver the objectives set out in Play it Forward.
