MCC Foundation Hubs

Hampshire Cricket Board deliver a wide range of opportunities for young people across the county. The MCC Foundation Hub programme is a free-to-access cricket training and coaching programme for state-educated, talented players. The programme has successfully provided state-educated girls and boys with 10 week training programmes each year since the 2021, initially in Southampton, but now in both Southampton and Basingstoke.

In 2024, 34 boys and 32 girls accessed 10 week programmes from January and local fixtures through the summer in our most successful year yet.

The Hampshire 'Hubs' are growing and in 2025, we have the opportunity to reach more young people for a free training programme.

For boys, Southampton has up to 24 spaces for both U14s and U16s and for girls, both Southampton and Basingstoke 'Hubs' have the opportunity to reach over 40 girls aged 11-16 in each area!

  • Southampton girls training nights – Mondays (King Edwards School)
  • Southampton boys training nights – Tuesdays (King Edwards School)
  • Basingstoke boys and girls training nights – Thursdays (Brighton Hill Community School)
