The Super 9s set up is the entry point to our elite performance pathway. The Super 9s programme has a heavier focus on applying cricketing skills and knowledge in a more structured competitive format.
Our Super 9s development squad has an inclusive environment, where the appropriate individuals, identified through the Super 1s programme, have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in a relaxed, casual environment.
The squad play pairs matches against other counties in a festival based format.
The development squad is designed to give individual's within the squad the experience within a lightly competitive format, and helps identify individuals who can continue to grow and develop within the disability pathway.
Our Super 9s main squad compete in the ECB South-East Regional League in matches that are played to standard cricket rules with certain adjustments made where appropriate to cater for all differing abilities within the squad.
Matches are contested traditionally between 9-11 players per side in a 30 over format against other counties. The top two teams in the league compete to be crowned Regional Champions which Hampshire won an inaugural championship in 2021.
