Hambledon Cricket Club have continued their impressive run in the ECB National Indoor Club Championships, securing a crucial win over Ventnor in the county play-off. This victory has earned them a high-stakes clash with Ferndown Wayfarers, with a spot in the regional semi-finals up for grabs.
The competition saw top teams Basingstoke & North Hants, Thruxton, Oakley, Old Tauntonians & Romsey, Peartree, and Hambledon battling it out in the quarter-finals. Hambledon emerged victorious, defeating Peartree in the final to claim the title of county champions.
Their triumph set the stage for a decisive county play-off against Ventnor, where they once again delivered a strong performance to progress to the next stage of the competition.
Hambledon now turn their focus to the upcoming match against Ferndown Wayfarers. A win would take them one step closer to national success, with a place in the regional final on the line.
