A huge congratulations to Phil Thomas from Odiham & Greywell CC who has won May's Volunteer of the Month competition!
Phil's ongoing volunteer work has been recognised by his peers who have nominated him for many reasons to do with his continuous support to the club. Phil wears many hats at the club including running the communications, helping to grow engagement on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and now Tik Tok. The added success of the new Women & Girl's accounts has helped attract new players which has led to the club now fielding two league sides. Phil is also part of the lead Grounds team after the club moved to a voluntary model last season and puts in many hours navigating the club through last summer's heatwave and this year's consistent rain. He was also part of the inaugural Boundary Bonaza project team which was a family run day for members and the community, orchestrating live music, stalls, beer tents and many other activities. This helped raise money for the intended land purchases, protecting cricket in Odiham for future generations to come.
Phil has won a pair of tickets to Hampshire Hawks vs Gloucestershire in the Vitality T20 Blast on the 2nd July!
We recieved a large number of nominations this month which is amazing as it shows how great our volunteers are around the county and the hard work they put in.
A huge congratulations to all the nominees:
All nominees and winners will be entered into our end of season Grassroot Cricket Awards which will take place towards the end of the season...
Keep up the hard work everyone!
