Hampshire Cricket Board is growing its team as we embark on an exciting new chapter with our four-year strategy, Breaking Boundaries.

To support this ambition, we are recruiting two new roles. One will play a vital part in strengthening and supporting local cricket clubs, and the other will deliver high-quality cricket sessions within our urban communities. These positions will sit at the heart of our work, helping us build lasting relationships, remove barriers to participation, and create meaningful opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with the game.
We are looking for enthusiastic, people-focused individuals who are passionate about cricket and its power to make a positive difference. You will be motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team. Successful candidates will have strong communication skills, a genuine commitment to inclusion and community engagement, and the drive to build trusted relationships with clubs, partners and participants. Experience working in community sport, education or development roles would be an advantage, but above all we are seeking people who share our values, energy and ambition for growing the game.
The Level 4 Sports Coach Apprenticeship will assist with coaching and community engagement across all HCB’s programmes and projects. The role is aimed at a coach who would like to broaden their knowledge across a variety of delivery areas but will specialise in Community Sport Coaching. The apprenticeship will motivate and engage people of all ages and abilities in community sports settings, including local authority, charity and national governing body of sport community initiatives or clubs. As one of two Club Development Manager’s you will play a vital role in helping the Hampshire Cricket
Board (HCB) achieve its mission to inspire, empower, and connect communities through cricket. With the Head of Cricket Development, you will lead the delivery of the HCB club strategy. Working
closely with colleagues you will be central to providing high quality support to club volunteers, with
the ambition of creating and maintaining a thriving, inclusive and sustainable club network. The post holder will be a proactive and self-motivated individual with great communication and organisational skills, and have a real passion for sport and community impact.
